Jerusalem's Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Kolitz, who passed away yesterday at the age of 81, was buried last night at the Har HaMenuchot cemetery. Born in Lithuania, he came to the Holy Land at age 11 and studied in the Hevron Yeshiva. A frequent visitor in the home of the famed Chazon Ish, he headed yeshiva high schools in Kfar HaRoeh and Rehovot. He served as Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem for two decades. The capital's Chief Sephardic Rabbi Shalom Mashash passed away several months ago.
