Arabs opened fire at the soldiers during the operation, and one of the attackers was hit by the return fire. No Israelis were hurt.

Four recently-arrested Islamic Jihad terrorists in the Shomron have confessed to participating in a shooting attack at a bus, gathering information for other attacks, and aiding and abetting terrorism in other manners. More arrests are expected in light of the results of their confessions.

Arab attackers threw a firebomb this afternoon at IDF soldiers in the Shomron community of Kedumim. No one was hurt.

Another terrorist weapon: fire. Three homes in the northern Shomron community of Kadim were burnt to the ground today, and residents say it was the work of terrorists. They say that the Arabs took advantage of the fact that there was no running water in the community today. No one was hurt in the blazes. Fire-fighting forces, as well as IDF and Magen David Adom crews, are still on the scene, and the fires have not yet been put out.
