Supreme Court Michael Heshin had sharp words for the residents of Tel Chaim B in Beit El today, and they accordingly withdrew their petition against the army's destruction of their "outpost." The four-caravan neighborhood is situated in the easternmost spot of Beit El, towards Ofrah, and occupies a strategic point in ensuring Beit El's safety from the neighboring Arab villages of Bitin and Silwad. Heshin said that the land belongs to Arabs, and said that no one may "invade" the property of someone else. Atty. Avi Har-Zahav, representing the Beit El residents, said that the land - which shows no sign of ever having been inhabited - has been under army control for decades. There is no word on when the army plans to evacuate the site.
