Yosef Ben-Baruch, arrested in April of last year on suspicion of taking part in a conspiracy to bomb a Muslim school in Jerusalem, is to be married tomorrow night - but the General Security Service refuses to allow him to attend his own wedding for more than four hours. At present, only 20 guests will be allowed to attend the wedding.

The Council of Rabbis of Judea, Samaria and Gaza has called upon the authorities to allow Ben-Baruch out of prison for several days, in order to allow him to take part in the traditional seven days of celebration following the wedding. The Council notes that the government is discussing the ongoing release of Arab terrorists responsible for the deaths of hundreds of innocent Israelis, and that even the head of the Israeli-Arab Islamic Movement was allowed out of prison to attend a family event.

Family members say that Ben-Baruch is being held in prison on the testimony of only one person, and that in fact he has absolutely nothing to do with the charges. "The GSS knows that it will lose in the trial against him," Ben-Baruch's fiancee Miri Perl told Arutz-7, "and that's why it wants to make sure to punish him for remaining silent now, before the trial begins."
