A high-level Israel-PA meeting began in Jerusalem late Tuesday afternoon. Prime Minister Sharon, together with Ministers Shalom, Mofaz, Lapid, and Olmert, are meeting with Abu Mazen, Muhammad Dahlan, and Abu Ala. The latter will demand that Israel withdraw from all the cities given over to PA control during the Oslo process; release Marwan Barghouti and other terrorist murderers; remove the siege from around Yasser Arafat; and more. This is the third Sharon-Abu Mazen meeting, and the first since the Aqaba summit almost a month ago.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will visit Norway and Great Britain two weeks from now. This will be his first visit to Europe in several months, and Jerusalem sources say that this is evidence of Israel's improved international status as a result of the Road Map.

GSS Chief Avi Dichter said today, "The true test for the Palestinians will be if they collect illegal weapons within 2-3 weeks… If a civil war breaks out between Hamas and the PA, Hamas knows it has no chance to win and it will turn into a line in Palestinian history… If even one Kassam rocket hits a nursery school in or outside of Gaza, the Israeli forces will return to Gaza."

A group of government ministers are planning to submit a proposal to freeze Israel's fulfillment of its Road Map plan. Arutz-7's Ariel Kahane reports that the Yesha Council is behind the initiative, and that it is confident it can enlist wide support in the Cabinet.
