Education Minister Limor Livnat, who abstained in the original Cabinet Vote on the Road Map last month, called today for Israel to stop implementing its Road Map obligations. She said that the PA has not changed its ideology, and continues to incite against Israel and Jews. In addition, she noted, the government is against the idea of a hudna (temporary terrorism ceasefire negotiated by the PA and Hamas), and should therefore not be bound by its terms.

Likud MK Yuval Shteinitz, chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, told Arutz-7 that he is doubtful that the Road Map will work:

"I'm skeptical about the implementation of the Road Map. The Egyptians, for instance, by trying to achieve a hudna that Israel is against, are trying to sabotage the Road Map. In general, the Egyptian intervention in this process is dangerous… I personally would like to see a diplomatic agreement come about, but I see so many obstacles that I am simply not optimistic that the Road Map will work."

O.C. Southern Command IDF Gen. Doron Almog said today that allowing free Arab traffic on the main north-south Gaza artery - that which cuts in between the two parts of Kfar Darom and passed adjacent to its homes - would be a "danger to the Jewish communities and Jewish traffic in Gaza."
