IDF soldiers of the Nachal Hareidi unit arrested two Israeli-Arabs today in the PA-controlled village of Tubas in the northern Jordan Valley. The alert soldiers, on a routine patrol, suspected that the many cameras in the Arabs' possession - and especially the dozens of photos they had of IDF bases - were to be used to help Palestinian terror organizations.

The police announced today that an alert chemical-plant manager thwarted the sale of 20 tons of sulfuric acid by an Arab from Gaza and a Jew from Ashkelon to terrorist elements. The story began three months ago when the two - both of whom are Israeli citizens - arrived at the Shaar Chemicals plant in Emek Hefer and presented permits allowing them to acquire the materials for a batteries plant in Gaza. The chemical is generally forbidden to be sold to the PA, because of its use in bombs, and the Shaar Chemicals manager suspected that something was amiss. His suspicions turned out to be correct, as the papers were found to be forged, as were the buyers' identification papers. Ten days ago, the two were arrested, and police announced that they will be speedily indicted.
