A Palestinian-fired mortar shell landed in a nursery school in Gush Katif last night; the unexploded shell was found there this morning. Another shell did explode in an open area near an IDF outpost in the same area; no one was hurt. In the northern Shomron, army forces found and dismantled two bombs ready for detonation. Yet another suicide terrorist on his way to an attack was arrested last night, this time in the Azariya village east of Jerusalem. This afternoon, Palestinian gunmen opened fire at an IDF force near Gittit in the Jordan Valley; no one was hurt.



The Raanana Symphony Orchestra will perform a day-long marathon of classical and Israel music in Sderot tomorrow, as a gesture on behalf of the besieged Negev city. The orchestra will break up into separate groups that will play in the industrial zone, schools, centers for the elderly, and the Community Center. The musicians will also offer explanations, and in the evening, will conduct one large central concert at the city swimming pool.



Among the wounded in the Jerusalem bus bombing on Wednesday are Chava Odelia bat [daughter of] Ziva, in critical condition, and Ariela bat Hadassah Tzivia. Seventeen people were killed in the attack.
