"Israel has already begun to fulfill its Road Map obligations, but the Palestinians have done nothing." So said Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom to a European Union delegation in Jerusalem today. "After we were hit with yet another terrorism wave, the ten days since Aqaba have seemed like ten years."

U.S. envoy John Wolfe is in Israel, although his mission has been downgraded. Instead of coming to "accompany the implementation of the Road Map," his job now is described as an attempt to get it back on track, following the violence of last week. Wolfe has met with Shabak head Avi Dichter, and is scheduled to meet today with Prime Minister Sharon, Defense Minister Mofaz, and Foreign Minister Shalom. He will meet with the PA's Mahmoud Abbas and Muhammed Dahlan on Tuesday.
