Abu Mazen, head of the PA Cabinet, convened a press conference today to explain his speech in Aqaba. He reiterated his call for an end to terrorism and support for the Road Map process, though he said he would not outlaw the terrorist organizations. He also said that the PA has not dropped and will not drop its demand for the 'right of return.' He also stated that not only outposts are "illegal," but actually "every single Jewish settlement in [the territories] is illegal and must be dismantled." Abu Mazen, known also by his given name of Mahmoud Abbas, had some criticism for "elements within the PA" - a clear reference to Yasser Arafat - "who are trying to escalate the violence and disrupt the process."

Hizbullah terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah says that sooner or later, Israel will agree to an exchange of prisoners - under conditions set by Hizbullah. Speaking at a rally yesterday, he said that his organization is holding four Israelis - although Israel says that only one of them, Elchanan Tenenbaum, is alive. "Previous exchanges took years, but in the end Israel was the one who gave in," he said. He said he turned down Israel's recent offer of over 200 imprisoned Palestinian terrorists in exchange for the release of Tenenbaum and the three corpses.
