Housing Minister Effie Eitam (NRP) told the rally participants,
"The nation is not tired. In the past two years, this nation has been stronger than its leaders! This nation knows how to walk a long road, a road of real hope of building the Land with faith. We heard today the word 'hope' used in Aqaba; how cynically ironic it is to take that word, our national anthem and symbol, and use it to refer to a plan of murder and terror… We look in the eyes of the previous generations and the ones to come, and we say to them that we do not despair and we have no weakness - we have just the strong hope and determination to build this Land - this Land that is all ours, all of it…
"We have, thank G-d, a government in Israel, and the vote in the Cabinet on the Road Map shows that there are healthy forces amongst us, including important ministers in the Likud, who are not willing to accept this vain hope. We will work from within the government to strengthen these forces. We call upon you, Ariel Sharon: you have already expressed regret once for destroying a piece of Israel [Yamit, Sinai, in 1982] - but contrition is only accepted if it's genuine; don't uproot again that which is planted…"
Deputy Education Minister Tzvi Hendel (National Union) said:
"Brothers and sisters, the great power that is amassed here in this great crowd, calls out: Ariel Sharon, Prime Minister of Israel, come back home! Your place is here with us! Don't lose your way! Learn from Bush: Don't give in to pressure! He withstood the pressure of half the world in order to destroy a terrorist regime - and you are willing to give in and establish here in the Land of Israel a new terrorist state!? Is there anyone in the world who does not think that this state, if it arises, Heaven forbid, will not be a terrorist state?! …
"The nation must thank these wonderful people in Yesha who are standing at the front, making sure that the war does not reach Tel Aviv!… I believe that this day, on which the State of Israel was humiliated with its Prime Minister and four of his ministers being dragged along like scolded children to a meaningless ceremony with handshakes and embraces, while back home terrorism and murder continues to rage - I believe that this day will be a turning point for the better, and together, with the deep knowledge that Eretz Yisrael belongs only to Am Yisrael in accordance with Torat Yisrael, we will continue to struggle, and Hashem will help us succeed!"
Tourism Minister Benny Elon (National Union):
"A Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital will not arise! There already is a Palestinian state, with its capital in Amman, one in which 80% of its citizens see themselves as proud Palestinians! Over there - in Jordan - is the Palestinian state, and here, on this side, is the Jewish state! … If the Arabs here don't want to live here in peace with us, they can simply move to the Palestinian state on the other side of the Jordan. Two states to two peoples on BOTH sides of the Jordan! … Why, why didn't we learn the lesson from Oslo, which ended with bloodshed? Why are we repeating the same mistake? Because they didn't have this plan, the plan that says there already is a Palestinian state - on the other side of the Jordan."
