HaEmek Hospital in Afula has been the scene of some surprisingly good news, as security guard Hadar Gitlin, seriously wounded in the May 19 suicide bombing in an Afula shopping mall, has come out of her coma, is aware of her surroundings, and has begun speaking. Her progress was seen as rapid and encouraging, with doctors optimistic regarding her rehabilitation program. Hadar says that she has no recollection of the bombing attack, in which a colleague of hers was killed, along with two other people. Hadar is determined to rehabilitate herself and she said that she is willing to return to her job at the shopping center as soon as she can.
