As the world absorbs the Israeli recognition, of sorts, of a Palestinian state even before the PA declares its recognition of Israel, Palestinian terrorism continues apace. Two PA terrorists infiltrated Kibbutz Erez, just outside the northern tip of the Gaza Strip, late this afternoon. Soldiers called to the scene engaged them in battle and killed one of them. The residents were asked to remain in their homes, the police closed the highway between Ashkelon and Yad Mordechai, and after a gunbattle lasting more than an hour, the second terrorist finally surrendered.
Further to the south, Palestinian terrorists fired two mortar shells near the Israeli community of Gadid last night... Arabs fired and threw grenades at IDF outposts on the Israeli-Egyptian border; no one was hurt in these incidents.
