Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom met this afternoon with British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Shalom said afterwards that Blair "is a true friend of Israel," and that the two of them agree that progress in the diplomatic process cannot come at the expense of security for Israeli citizens. Shalom updated Blair on his meeting yesterday with the Foreign Minister of Qatar, and later met with British Foreign Minister Jack Straw.
