Both Jerusalem and Netanya were the sites of false alarms today, causing inconvenience to many city residents. The Sharon shopping center in Netanya, the site of a suicide bomber attack two weeks ago that killed five people, was closed for about two hours today after word was received of a terrorist on the premises. The mall was reopened following an extensive search. In Jerusalem, near the soon-to-be-reopened central bus station, a suspicious object led police to suspect a bomb; they closed off the area for about a half hour, until discovering that there was no danger. They then sped off to another reported suspicious-object report.
