A 45-year-old Jewish man from the UK was found dead during the Rosh Hashanah holiday in a forest near Rabbi Nachman of Breslov's tomb in Uman, Ukraine.
Local police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the death, with all angles being examined, including a suspicion of murder.
According to initial information, Hassidim who entered the forest to meditate found the man on the ground without a pulse and not breathing and contacted emergency services.
Medical crews pronounced the individual dead at the scene.
Aharon Ben Haroush, delegation director and head of the United Hatzalah Uman branch, stated after the holiday: "During the holiday, we treated a case of a man, a Jewish resident of England, who was found dead in a forest. The circumstances are under review, and the organization's officials are currently working with the local authorities to release the body for burial as soon as possible."
