Earlier on Friday, IDF soldiers completed a special counterterrorism operation in the Qabatiya area, during which they apprehended a terrorist cell consisting of five terrorists who were planning to carry out a terrorist attack against Israeli civilians and security forces.
The operation was guided by ISA intelligence and was a special counterterrorism effort.
In a statement, the IDF revealed that, "The five terrorists were involved in advancing terrorist attacks. IDF soldiers apprehended them within less than ten minutes of reaching the suspected locations."
"Following searches of the terrorists’ homes, the soldiers located and confiscated an M16 rifle and additional military equipment that had been concealed by the terrorists.
"The terrorists were transferred for further questioning by the security forces."
