Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Sderot Hesder Yeshiva on Wednesday and was welcomed by students who sang and danced in his honor. After the reception, Netanyahu delivered an address to the students.
During the address, Netanyahu revealed to the crowd a detail shared with him by a faculty member about the Yeshiva Dean, Rabbi David Fendel. "The rabbi whispered to me. But I'm exposing it; tomorrow is your birthday," Netanyahu stated. In response, the students broke into song.
Netanyahu was accompanied by Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi and MK Almog Cohen, a resident of the nearby town of Ofakim and a Likud candidate.
