A poll conducted by Lazar Research and published by Walla on Wednesday, a day after Brig. Gen. (res.) Ofer Winter officially announced the launch of his Amacha Yisrael Party, found that the party would win six seats in the Knesset, mostly at the expense of the Likud and the Religious Zionist Party, with the latter being knocked out of the race.
Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar Party leads the poll, with 25 seats, as the Likud trails with 21, followed by Bennett and Lapid's Together Party with 15, the Democrats with 10, Yisrael Beytenu with nine, Otzma Yehudit with eight, Shas, United Torah Judaism, and the Arab Joint List with eight, Amcha Yisrael with six, and the United Arab List (Ra'am) with five.
In such a scenario, the Religious Zionist Party does not pass the electoral threshold, with only 2.6% of the votes.
Along with Smotrich, a series of other parties fail to pass the threshold, including Hili Tropper's Zionist Home-Reservists with 2.1% of the vote, Prof. Yaron Zelekha's Economic Party and Blue and White, which both received 1.2% of the vote, Sharren Haskel's Israel First Party with %0.9, and Gilad Erdan's Unity Party with just 0.3%.
Winter's entry into the race drops the Netanyahu bloc to a low of 49 seats, while the anti-Netanyahu bloc holds 59 seats.
