A new urban renewal project in Maale Adumim is set to bring 750 housing units to the city, with new high-rise buildings, community facilities, and a focus on expanding the city's English-speaking community.
"We're standing now in Maale Adumim. Maale Adumim is a new city, built only in the 80s. Now is the first time that the buildings are being knocked down. We're building the first new buildings in the city," said project representative Noam Ben-David.
Shelly Levine, a real estate agent, added: "We are building an amazing project here, 750 units, urban renewal, everything modern, beautiful layouts, beautiful community."
Ben-David described the development as "a beautiful urban renewal project, the nicest one in Jerusalem area, perfect location, close to everything."
"The buildings that are being built now are modern buildings, just like in the best cities in Israel. We're talking about 26 and 30 stories of buildings with the best facilities inside the building," he said.
"You have a gym, a 400 square meter shul, which could have all the tenants in the building. It's very convenient. Right near the buildings is a big park. The park is connected to the bicycle and walking tracks that lead all over the city."
Levine highlighted the city's longstanding English-speaking population. "Maale Adumim has traditionally been an Anglo community, which we will now double."

Levine added: "I brought my children up in this wonderful community. You never have to leave Maale Adumim, and the beauty of it is we're 12 minutes from Jerusalem."
"Maale Adumim is a gateway to Jerusalem, very close, very convenient," Ben-David said. "You could live here and work in Jerualem. The distance is very close and it's very easy to drive."
The two also highlighted the services available within the city, including healthcare and education. "We have health care for all ages all the way up to senior citizens," Levine said.
"Maale Adumim is known for its good education. From kindergarten until Hesder, we have all the best schools inside the city," Ben-David added.
Levine also discussed Maale Adumim's history as a destination for English-speaking immigrants and the investment opportunity presented by the new project.
"Maale Adumim is probably one of the most successful Anglo communities that was established in the Jerusalem area. We have always known what the best investments would be. In the early 80s, we built Maale Adumim. In the 90s, it was my idea to bring thousands of Americans to Beit Shemesh. Today, everybody still comes over to me and laments not buying earlier. We are now in pre-sales. You have an opportunity to come and be the first. People that are the first always win economically in all new projects."
Ben-David said his family has more than five decades of experience in construction.
"The Ben David family is a family that has built in Israel for many years. We have a lot of experience, over 50 years of building houses, commercial buildings, and hotels."
