For Nohomy Sofer, the journey to a Jewish home began in a remote village in Costa Rica. She never imagined where life would take her. Then, through what she calls incredible Divine providence, she found Judaism and chose a life of Torah and mitzvot.

Thousands of miles away in Pennsylvania, Ezra Chaim Paneth made the same courageous choice: to leave behind everything familiar and dedicate himself to Torah.

Two people from two very different places, each on a difficult path toward the same destination. Then, in Israel, they found each other.

>> Help two converts start their lives together

Nohomy and Ezra Chaim marry on 18 Elul, August 31, just days from now. They've found an empty apartment where they hope to begin their married life. But they face something most young couples never have to consider: no parents, no extended family, no one to turn to for help with the wedding or even the basics for their new home. No furniture. No appliances. Not even pots and pans.

>> Furnish their first Jewish home

Nohomy and Ezra Chaim have joined Klal Yisrael. Now they're turning to their new family, the Jewish community, to help them take this last step before the chuppah.

Their wedding is the culmination of years of courage and sacrifice. It's only days away.
