Israeli-French singer Amir Haddad revealed that the mezuzah on the front door of his home in Paris was torn down, shortly before he left for Israel.
He shared the incident during a concert in Tel Aviv, saying that it reflects the rise in antisemitism in France.
Haddad recounted how he discovered the act when he tried to kiss the mezuzah while leaving for the airport. He said that although the incident was shocking, he does not intend to give in to fear or threats.
"They touched an item that was important to me, but they will never be able to touch what's happening inside us," he told the crowd. "They will tire out long before us, and in the end, there will be justice."
The incident came amid a rise in antisemitic incidents in France. According to data from the French Interior Ministry, 1,320 antisemitic acts were recorded in the country in 2025.
Amir Haddad, who was born in Paris and moved to Israel as a child, rose to prominence in France after appearing on The Voice. He later represented France at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest and has since built a successful musical career in both France and Israel.
