Arab media is reporting four airstrikes early Tuesday morning targeting the runway of the Abu al-Duhur military airport in the eastern Idlib countryside in northern Syria.

According to the report, the aircraft that carried out the strikes have not been identified, although some sources cited by Al Jazeera said they may have been Israeli aircraft.

The reports said that information regarding the incident remains limited and that there has been no official comment on the strikes.

Al Jazeera reported that the strikes caused material damage to the airport's runway, but that no injuries were reported.

The Abu al-Duhur military airport is located 50 km (31 miles) southwest of Aleppo, approximately 300 kilometers (186 miles) from Israel.

According to the report, this was the first such strike on the airport since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime.
