Israeli President Herzog meets with Jared Kushner

President Isaac Herzog met on Monday with US Special Envoy Jared Kushner and Nickolay Mladenov, Director-General of US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace, at the President's Residence in Jerusalem.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the extensive efforts of the Board of Peace, led by President Trump and his team, to advance to the next stages in Gaza.

"The next stages in Gaza must ensure the security of the State of Israel and its citizens, and bring stability and a better future for all the peoples of the region," Herzog said.

The President expressed his appreciation for President Trump, Kushner, Mladenov, and their teams for their work toward what he described as a new future for Israel and the Gaza Strip based on President Trump's 20-point plan.

"This is a challenging issue," Herzog said. "I was impressed that Israel's security interest is an important and central component of the plan, and I emphasized this."

Herzog added that he had praised the teams for their efforts and encouraged them to continue their work.

"I congratulated the teams on their work and encouraged them to continue working for a better future for our children," he concluded.
