שיבשו את אימוני היחידות: שני עדרי בקר נתפסו בשטח האש של גולני

Approximately 80 head of cattle were caught inside a live-fire training zone used by the Golani Brigade, during an operation by the Israel Border Police Coastal District Central Unit targeting the practice of bringing herds into military firing zones.

Police said the phenomenon has disrupted and even forced the cancellation of IDF training exercises.

The operation followed a period of focused intelligence gathering. Detectives from the Border Police Coastal District Central Unit operated together with officers from the enforcement coordination unit and the Green Patrol, using technological and operational capabilities.

During the operation, forces located two herds containing approximately 80 head of cattle. The herds are suspected of belonging to residents of Mu'awiya and Ein Ibrahim, near Umm al-Fahm.

The forces seized both herds and transferred them to quarantine near Moshav Dor. The owners of the herds were also located and taken for questioning by the Border Police Coastal District Central Unit.

The investigation was conducted in cooperation with the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry's Central Enforcement and Investigations Unit.

According to police, enforcement measures are expected to be taken against the herd owners, who will also be required to pay fines as a condition for having their cattle returned.
