Ra’am chairman MK Mansour Abbas met Thursday with former MK Yoav Segalovitz, who recently left the Yesh Atid party.

The meeting was described as taking place in a positive atmosphere. The two discussed the possibility of Segalovitz joining the Ra’am slate ahead of the next Knesset elections. At the conclusion of the meeting, they agreed to continue their direct dialogue.

Following reports of the talks, Otzma Yehudit issued a strongly worded statement criticizing the possibility of cooperation. "Right before our eyes, a plan for the liquidation sale of the Jewish state is unfolding with the backing of the Left," the party said.

“Mansour Abbas is attempting, through Yoav Segalovitz, to take control of the National Security Ministry-to bring back terrorist summer camps in prisons, halt demolitions in the Negev, and take control of the Negev and Galilee Ministry in order to turn them into Islamic territory."

The party added: “A reminder: They do not recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization. They do not recognize the State of Israel as a Jewish state. They are subordinate to the Shura Council of the Muslim Brotherhood.

“These are the partners of Eisenkot and Lieberman-don’t let them trick you with their stories."
