Yair Golan, chairman of the Democrats party, addressed violence in the Arab sector and said that his party would take significant action to combat it if it is part of the next government.
“When we are in the next government, we will demand the Public Security portfolio, the Justice portfolio, the Education portfolio, and additional portfolios in order to influence crime in Arab society," Golan said.
The Democrats chairman pledged: “We will eliminate organized crime. We will ensure personal safety and property security on the streets. We will ensure a police presence on the streets."
In addition, Golan pledged to work to ensure that the education system teaches against violence and that all authorities in the State of Israel work together to combat crime.
