The IDF on Monday presented the bereaved families with the findings of its inquiry into the events that transpired at the eastern shelter in Re'im on October 7th, 2023, where 29 people were murdered, one was abducted to Gaza, and only 12 survived.
After seeing the findings, the victims' families shared the details presented to them and their feelings.
Menashe Mansouri, whose daughters Norel and Revaya were murdered in the shelter, wrote: "Yesterday, the IDF presented us with the investigation into the shelter near Re'im where 29 children were murdered, 12 survived, and one was abducted, among them, my beloved daughters Norel and Revaya."
Mansouri described the information that was revealed to the family: "What they went through, how much they suffered, you can not describe it, you can not bear such a thing. 100 terrorists massacred them, grenades that exploded, gunshots into the shelter. Hell, here, by us."
Mansouri continued by addressing the number of terrorists eliminated since the attack. "The IDF has identified the majority of the terrorists. How many have been eliminated this far? Three. Most of them are alive; they are in Gaza. Tell me more about 'total victory.'"
Hen Zander, whose sister, Noa, was murdered in the shelter, also discussed the inquiry's findings: "Two years and ten months since October 7th, and yesterday the IDF inquiry about the eastern Re'im shelter was presented to us."
Zander added that she does not intend to share the details of the findings, but emphasized the number of terrorists eliminated: "I will not share the details with you so as not to ruin your night, but it's worth knowing that out of 100 terrorists who occupied the junction and massacred my sister as well, three were eliminated so far. Only three terrorists!"
