With the Jewish New Year approaching, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir on Monday presented the Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper, with a special gift: a shofar (horn), which is traditionally blown on the holiday and in the month leading up to it.
The gift was presented to Cooper as a token of appreciation in recognition of the deep partnership between the militaries during an operational forum led by the Chief of Staff.
The Chief of the General Staff stated that cooperation with the US military is unprecedented and serves as a strategic anchor.
The CENTCOM Commander reviewed the deep and strategic partnership between the IDF and the US military, which has proven itself time and time again throughout operations.
In his remarks, he emphasized that the partnership between the militaries is historic and founded on trust, commitment, and strong, close cooperation, and that it is a significant component in strengthening security and stability in the region.
