Israeli social media influencer Esty Segal shared a video from her recent wedding showing the conclusion of the ceremony in which the groom broke a glass to remember the destruction of the temples in Jerusalem.
However, he deviated from the regular tradition, which involves the groom stomping on the glass with his foot, and instead used his bride's prosthetic leg to break it.
Segal was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 16 and, due to the illness, her leg had to be amputated.
Segal explained that the decision to use her prosthetic to conclude the wedding ceremony symbolizes her journey with her new husband. "He was with me throughout the process to get me back to walking."
According to Esty, "This prosthetic is his, like it is mine."
