Jerusalem Envelope Border Police officers and Checkpoint Unit soldiers at the Eastern Ring Road Checkpoint east of Jerusalem found an illegal infiltrator on Saturday, hiding behind a double wall built into a vehicle's trunk.
The vehicle raised the suspicion of the forces at the checkpoint, who ordered the driver to stop for inspection. While thoroughly inspecting the vehicle, the forces noticed that one of the walls in the trunk did not match the vehicle's structure.
The forces inspected the wall and discovered it was hiding a concealed compartment. Inside the compartment, the forces located a person.
Upon inspection, it was found that the person found in the trunk was a Palestinian Arab resident of Judea and Samaria who was in Israeli territory without the required entry permits. The driver is a 34-year-old resident of eastern Jerusalem.
The two were arrested and taken for questioning at the Jerusalem Envelope Border Police Intelligence and Investigations Office.
