An antisemitic incident was reported at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila, Philippines, where an American passenger allegedly directed severe antisemitic remarks at an Israeli traveler, leading to a physical confrontation between the two. Airport police intervened and detained both men.
According to reports in the Philippine media, the incident occurred in the domestic departures area of the airport. The 37-year-old Israeli passenger and the 54-year-old American passenger were reportedly waiting for flights to Cebu.
The Israeli claimed that during the incident, he heard the American passenger directing antisemitic remarks at him, including calling him a “Jewish baby killer." He further alleged that the man said, “Hitler was right. It’s a shame Hitler didn’t finish killing the Jews."
The verbal confrontation subsequently escalated into a physical altercation. A marble table near a food stand was also reportedly damaged during the incident.
The American claimed that the Israeli had interfered in a private conversation and attacked him without provocation.
Airport police officers who arrived at the scene separated the two men and detained them for questioning. They were subsequently taken to Pasay City General Hospital for medical examination.
The following day, the case was referred to the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office, and both men underwent legal proceedings over allegations related to disturbing the peace.
