A signing ceremony for the allocation of land for the construction of the permanent building of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel's capital, is being held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem.
At the ceremony, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, and Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon deliver speeches.
Foreign Minister Gideon Saar and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee are set to the agreement.
Foreign Minister Saar declared "Just as the USA is indispensable to Israel, Israel is indispensable to the USA and our neighbors in the region. This agreement is another sign to our enemies that the bond between us is stronger than ever, stronger than any threat."
US Ambassador Mike Huckabee related "President Trump received calls from all over the world, even from members of Congress or his cabinet, saying not to move the embassy. He told them all 'I said I was going to do it - and it's the right thing to do.'"
Jerusalem mayor Moshe Lion stated "There are many people who deny the simple facts and history in the city. We are setting the record straight today."
