The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, held a discussion today (Wed.) with all division commanders.

As part of the discussion, the Chief of the General Staff conducted an operational situational assessment with the commanders and addressed operational challenges across all sectors, force readiness, and the continuation of combat in the various arenas.

Chief of Staff Zamir told the commanders: “You are a unique generation of division commanders in the history of the IDF and the State of Israel. The story of your actions over the past two and a half years will be told in history books. The IDF’s capabilities, the preservation of its values, and its operational achievements are in your hands."

"Across all combat sectors along the borders, we are prepared and establishing ourselves in Forward Defense Areas, thwarting threats and shaping reality through initiative, persistence, and determination. The IDF’s achievements are thanks to your unprecedented fighting and sacrifice - the commanders and the soldiers, both regular and reserve forces. At this moment, the IDF is on the highest level of alert and prepared for any development. Alongside the intense and ongoing combat, we must maintain a high standard of values, professionalism, and operational discipline. These are the conditions for the IDF’s combat readiness and cohesion," he said.

"In every arena, we are removing threats and acting first and foremost to deepen the damage to the enemy and safeguard the security of our civilians and soldiers," continued. "As Chief of the General Staff, I see all arenas before my eyes - we have systematically, powerfully, and methodically struck and weakened Iran and the entire axis. We will continue to operate for as long as necessary in both near and distant arenas. In order to meet all missions and reduce the unimaginable burden placed on reserve personnel, we need to expand the circle of those serving. This is a substantial and critical matter for the IDF’s operational functioning."

"At the same time, you division commanders are doing exceptional work. It is reflected not only in the results on the ground, but primarily in your ability to lead people, develop them, and above all - to win," the Chief of Staff concluded.
