Former hostage Agam Berger performed a solo violin piece of “The Town Is Burning" at the central ceremony in Birkenau as part of the March of the Living today (Tuesday). The song was written by Mordechai Gebirtig in 1936 in response to a pogrom and became an anthem of resistance in the ghettos of Poland.
