IDF Spokesman Effie Defrin addressed the citizens of Israel shortly before the onset of the Passover holiday, amid Operation Roaring Lion against Iran, and warned of the possibility of missile launches at the country during the holiday. He stressed that the IDF is acting both in offense and defense, while maintaining full readiness on all fronts.
In his address, he noted that "The Iranian terror regime and the Hezbollah terrorist organization may fire toward Israeli territory in an attempt to harm Israeli civilians during the holiday," and reassured that the defensive systems are deployed and prepared to intercept threats across the country. "Even on the eve of the holiday, it is important to remember that the defense is not hermetic. I call on you from here-continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command," he stressed.
Defrin also noted that the IDF will continue to strike the enemy powerfully and that the achievements are accumulating into broad success. According to the spokesman, "Overnight, we struck senior commanders in the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the heart of Beirut."
Defrin also addressed the soldiers operating on the various fronts and commended their heroism and dedication, together with the support and logistics systems.
He addressed the families of the families as well and noted that many of them are not celebrating the holdiay at home, "Be proud of them. They are acting with dedication, determination, and responsibility for the security of the State of Israel and its civilians during this holiday as well."
