The Jerusalem Media and Communication Center, an organization that frequently surveys public opinion in the Palestinian Authority, has released its latest findings. The results, as reviewed by IMRA (www.imra.org.il), show that only a small minority of Palestinians (15.2%) believe that they should totally avoid violence, while almost two-thirds - 65.3% - support continuing the current terrorism. In addition, 60.5% support military operations inside pre-1967 Israel, and just a tad under 60% support suicide bombing operations against Israeli civilians.
A random sample of 1201 Arabs over the age of 18 was interviewed face-to-face throughout Judea, Samaria, and Gaza from April 5-9. A large minority, 45.7%, opposes peace negotiations with Israel, while 75.3% said they support the continuation of the current "intifada."
On the other hand: An 18-year-old Arab terrorist was arrested outside the Shomron community of Itamar last night after his own father alerted the IDF forces to the fact that his son was on his way to perpetrate a stabbing attack in one of the local Jewish towns. Rabbi Avi Ronsky of Itamar told Arutz-7 today that it may sound strange in light of the continued attempts and warnings, "morale here is truly high. The residents are strong, the army is doing a good job, and there is generally a good feeling."
