National Religious Party leader Effie Eitam said today that the murderous attack in Kfar Sava proves that only the total defeat of the Palestinian Authority will bring an end to terrorism. Eitam negated the opinion of those who say that Israel must refrain from retaliating against the attack in order not to disrupt the reforms in the PA.

His government colleague, Infrastructures Minister Yosef Paritzky (Shinui), discounted such reactions from the "extremist right," and said, "we must carefully check whether Abu Mazen is making every effort to fight against terrorism."

Yesha Council Chairman Adi Mintz spoke with Arutz-7 today and said,

"I greatly fear that Israel is once again about to fall into the same trap [as Oslo]. Arafat once compared the Oslo Agreement to a Trojan horse, with that which emerged from within the horse leading to the [terrorism war] that began 2.5 years ago. But I never heard of a case where a Trojan horse is allowed in for a second time! I fear that now, after we finally began ridding our collective national perception of this Trojan horse, we are now about to allow it in once more, with even more murderous results, Heaven forbid."

Mintz said that he does not think that the proper lessons have been learned:

"We see that the players are the same: Arafat, and Abu Mazen who was his deputy [and signed the original Oslo Agreement], and Dahlan who was responsible for the murderous Kfar Darom bus bombing..."

He said that the Yesha Council will convene tomorrow to decide on its next moves, and that meetings will be held with Knesset Members from coalition parties - including many from the Likud:

"We are discussing among ourselves whether the time has come to begin public protests, and I can assure you that when we decide that that time has come, we will not hesitate to do so."
