After a district court overturned an order barring him from the area, right-wing activist Itamar Ben-Gvir told Israel Radio today that efforts to reestablish a Jewish presence on Kiryat Arba's 'Hill 26' would continue until such time the Ozeri family is permitted to resettle the site. Several attempts were made over recent days to renew the Jewish presence on the hilltop, deemed an "illegal outpost", but the army and police continue to intervene. One such attempt led to an altercation yesterday between security service personnel and the hilltop activists.

In January, Nati Ozeri was murdered by terrorists in his home, as he took part in a Sabbath meal. Since that time, the army has moved in and evicted his widow, Livnat, and her five children, and destroyed the family farmhouse. Efforts continue to reestablish the Ozeri home and assist Livnat in rebuilding her life. Following the IDF's razing of her home, activists vowed to do whatever necessary to renew the presence on 'Hill 26'.
