A poll commissioned by the Gesher Institute has found that 94% of Israelis say they will take part in a Seder this year - the highest rate ever recorded in Israel. Hotels throughout the country will be filled at record levels on the Seder night, hosting some 100,000 people for the festive Passover meal. Police and security services are on high alert against attempted terrorism.



The southern port city of Eilat is returning to its former glory. Thousands of people will be arriving in the city today and tomorrow to celebrate the first day of Passover. In addition, tourists from France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany arrived this week in the region. The Ovdah Airport, 60 kilometers north of Eilat, will remain open all day long to accept the tourists.
