After several days of intensive searches in rough terrain, the Israel Dog Unit, a nonprofit specializing in working dogs, located Yechiel Shitrit deceased in the Haifa region.
He had been missing since December 24th, 2025.
ZAKA reported that his remains were found in an open field within the city late Sunday night.
Police do not suspect any criminal activity in connection with his death.
