Israeli fashion model Ella Ayalon posted the following report on her Instagram: "I was right there, I live and was present near the scene of the attack in Sydney, during the lighting of the first candle of Hanukkah. What was supposed to be a moment of light, connection and celebration turned into a terrorist event in an instant in which people were injured."

"Right now we are trapped at home with clear instructions not to go out The door is closed, the silence outside is chilling, the heart is beating hard and the body is shaking Real fear, one that is difficult to contain in words."

"Sending a deep prayer for a complete recovery to the injured, a big hug to the families, and to everyone who experienced trauma and fear today."

"And in the evening, when the first candle of Hanukkah is in Israel, I would like to wish you a holiday of light, of protection, of small and large miracles."

"May we know quieter days, a safer heart, and a light that will prevail even when it seems that darkness is near."

"A Hanukkah holiday of light and good news for all of us," she concluded.
