Storm Byron: Police announced early Friday morning that they are conducting extensive searches for Eliyahu Aba Shaul, a 19-year-old from Bnei Brak, who has been missing since Wednesday evening. The missing man left his home in the evening hours and has not been seen since. Police reported that the searches are focused in the Yarkon River area after his shoes were found on the riverbank.

ZAKA reported that a call was received at their hotline regarding the missing man, who, according to witnesses, was last seen a day earlier, after which contact was lost. Given the time that has passed and the stormy weather, there is grave concern for his life.

In response to the police request, ZAKA’s Missing Persons Unit volunteers, assisted by ZAKA’s Special Missions Unit, began extensive searches in possible locations where he might be found. The searches are being conducted along the coastline, in parks, and in other areas based on indications of his possible whereabouts.

Meanwhile, Magen David Adom (MDA) announced that in recent hours, reports were received at MDA’s 101 hotline of severe flooding in the moshav Beit Shikma. Many residents were trapped in their homes due to the difficult situation, and MDA teams quickly began providing medical assistance.

MDA set up a treatment station in the community that included intensive care ambulances, regular ambulances, motorcycles, and an intensive care rescue vehicle capable of operating even in severe weather conditions.

MDA teams, consisting of medics and paramedics, provided medical treatment to the injured. Seven casualties were rescued from the area, including a man around 60 years old in moderate condition, suffering from hypothermia, and six others in mild condition. MDA teams on site continue to treat additional victims of the flooding.
