Security officials in Israel have recently identified possible leads regarding the burial location of Ran Gvili, as reported tonight (Thursday) on Channel 12 News.
According to the report, preliminary field checks have begun in recent days in an effort to verify the information.
The suspicion is focused on an area linked to the Islamic Jihad organization, whose operatives were responsible for the abduction of Ran during the October 7th attack.
Contrary to earlier estimates, Israeli security officials believe that those militants involved in the burial are still alive.
The security establishment in Israel estimates that if Hamas shows motivation, it would be possible to interrogate the Islamic Jihad operatives and determine the exact burial location.
Additionally, it was reported that Israel has made it clear that it will not move forward with Phase 2 of the Trump ceasefire agreement until a solution is found for the issue of returning Ran Gvili's body for burial in Israel.
