The IDF is investigating an image of a soldier wearing a patch on the sleeve of his uniform depicting a noose. The depiction is similar to the pin worn by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and his Otzma Yehudt faction this week during a Knesset debate on the death penalty for terrorists.

At the Monday session of the National Security Committee, which members of his faction attended wearing the controversial lapel pin, Minister Ben Gvir said: “We all came with a pin, which represents one of the options we intend to use in the death penalty for terrorists law."

“Of course, there is the option of hanging and the electric chair, and there is also the option of lethal injection. Since it was reported that doctors would not want to assist in implementing the law, I have received 100 messages from doctors saying, ‘Itamar - just tell us when.’”
