Due to a security failure in one of the IDF's social media accounts, architectural blueprints of a sensitive IDF base in central Israel were revealed in an official post by a military unit.
Galei Tzahal reported that the photos, which were posted on Wednesday to a public Instagram account, showed parts of a military exercise at the base during which senior commanders practiced "various extreme scenarios."
On the commanders’ desks that were photographed, relatively high-resolution diagrams were visible, including the architectural plans of the base, with structural details, openings, and internal layouts.
After being reported to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, the images were removed from the internet. "The incident was investigated and dealt with immediately by the relevant officials," the IDF commented.
The case was transferred to the IDF Information Security Department for review of the situation and for taking additional measures if necessary.
