After months of support for Iraq, including promises that “Iraq would be a graveyard for US soldiers,” the PA is now mourning the quick fall of its hero Saddam Hussein. The PA daily Al Ayyam published today’s headline of Baghdad's fall with a black frame of mourning, while the official PA paper Al Hayat Al Jadida featured a political cartoon showing the entire "Arab Nation" in mourning over Baghdad.

Itamar Marcus of Palestinian Media Watch further reports that Al Hayat's editorial advised the Iraqi people to rise up against the American “occupation” by taking “the Palestinian experience as an example."

Celebrating of the killing of four American soldiers by an Iraqi suicide bomber last week, Palestinian Authority officials named the center of the Jenin Refugee Camp after the murderer, Ali Alna'amani.

Hundreds of PA residents traveled to Iraq to fight for the Iraqi regime and against the Americans.

Ramallah's official Voice of Palestine aired a live sermon from Al-Aqsa Mosque last week in which Sheikh Yusuf Abu-Snaynah prayed that the Iraqi people "be victorious over the enemies" and made mention of "ugly massacres committed by the US and British invasion forces." The imam even warned that "some Arab and Islamic countries have allowed the allied forces to use their territories" will be targeted in the future.
