The extent to which the Iraqi regime and the PLO are linked, materially and

emotionally, has been highlighted once again today.

Itamar Marcus of the Palestinian Media Watch organization presented today a

translation of a new music video from official Palestinian Authority television. The song, "Be Strong Iraq", includes the following refrain: "Be strong, Baghdad, be strong / Pressure the evil ones. / Don't fear bombings and siege / Pull the trigger. / The despicable ones must go." The video glorifies the Iraqi resistance to US and coalition forces, using news footage of US soldiers carrying away the body of a killed comrade and of armed Iraqis celebrating the downing of a US helicopter. The last image in the video is a coffin draped with American and British flags.

Itamar Marcus notes, "Whereas around the world music videos are used for

entertainment, MTV-type music videos are used by the Palestinian Authority as a primary tool in its hate indoctrination apparatus."

In Baghdad itself, Fox News reported this morning, a fully-equipped terrorist training camp was discovered, apparently belonging to the Palestine Liberation Front (PLF), headed by Muhammad 'Abbas (Abu Abbas). Pictures of the terrorist leader, a member of the PLO Executive Committee from 1984 to 1991, adorned the walls. Abu Abbas' PLF was responsible for the 1985 hijacking of the Achille Lauro cruise ship, which included the murder of a wheelchair-bound passenger, Leon Klinghoffer. A warrant for Abu Abbas' arrest is outstanding in Italy. Since the Achille Lauro attack, the PLF has based itself in Iraq.
