The story of the blessing of Yaakov is full of deception. From the outset, Rivka instructs Yaakov to disguise himself as his brother, in order to receive the brachah. In essence, she instructed her son to lie. Clearly, she felt that this lie was justified, but this raises the thorny question of what justifies lying, and when is it not justified...When do the benefits outweigh the costs, and when must we just tell the truth? Discuss over the Shabbat table!
