A 64-year-old Israeli businessman was killed on Wednesday in a car accident in Abuja, Nigeria. He sustained critical injuries in the crash, which claimed the lives of four others, and was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have identified the deceased, and his family in Israel has been notified.
The Foreign Ministry said the case is being handled by the Department for Israelis Abroad and the Israeli Embassy in Nigeria, both of which are assisting the family during this difficult time.
The man’s insurance company is coordinating efforts to fly his body back to Israel for burial.
